HEIDIGALERIE

Christophe Fiat is a writer, a director and a performer. Inspired by philosophy (which he has taught during seven years), and by writers as different as Thomas Bernardt, André Gide or William S. Burroughs, he uses a clear and direct writing, operating on clichés, which he thwarts thanks to his style, combinig flow of sentences, caustic humour, and exaggeration. As regards the stage, he is inspired by french and anglo-saxon resonant poetry, contemporary danse and rock music.

Thus, he built in ten years a work which goes from books to stage with Héroïnes (Al Dante, 2005), La reconstitution historique, une aventure de Louise Moore (Al Dante, 2006) or Stephen King Forever (Le Seuil, 2008), and plays like La reconstitution Historique, a 5 sequences play (Théâtre de la Bastille, Paris, 2006), Si Carrie white n'était pas une héroïne de Stephen King elle serait terroriste (Festival 100 dessus dessous, La Villette, 2006) and La jeune fille à la bombe et Stephen Stories (61 ème festival d'Avignon, 2007).

At the same time, he makes his way through contemporary art, setting out solo performances such as Tentative de récupération du site de Ground Zero à des fins politiques (Fondation Cartier, soirées nomades, 2004), Action ! (CNEAI, Chatou, 2005), La reconstitution historique (Printemps de Septembre, Toulouse, 2006), King of Horror (Fondation Paul Ricard, 2008), Stephen King Stories + Pop Conférence (Frac, Pays de Loire, 2008), Batman et les batgirls (Force de l'art 02, Grand Palais 2009), MY NAME IS CARRIE WHITE (Palais de Tokyo, Le répondeur, 2009).

He also worked with different artists: on Thomas Hirschhorn's projects, such as Bataille Monument (Dokumenta de Kassel 2002), Musée Précaire Albinet (Aubervilliers, 2004), 24 heures Foucault (Palais de Tokyo à Paris, 2004), Biljmer Festival Spinoza (Amsterdam en 2009). He collaborated with Alexandre Perigot on Radiopopeye (Biennale de Venise, 2002), with Christelle Lheureux on the movie L'Expérience Préhistorique (La Femis, 2004, La Force de l'art 01, 2006, Festival d'Avignon, 2009), and also with Nicolas Fenouillat on Les mystères de l'Onde (Grand Palais, Paris, 2009).
