Everybody loves Stephen King
TOUT SUR STEPHEN KING
Je veux faire une série de 12 performances autour de l'écrivain américain Stephen King. Il est surnommé le roi de l'horreur, King of horror. Il est autant connu pour ses romans que pour ses adaptations au cinéma : Shining, Dead Zone, Christine. Il est un personnage emblématique de la culture populaire issue de la génération des baby-boomers.
LA NUIT DE L'HORREUR.
Je veux raconter sa vie, son œuvre, de 18 h à 6 h du matin, toutes les heures, dans un biopic dont chaque épisode durera 20 minutes.
A minuit (00 heure) vous saurez tout sur Carrie White, à l'occasion d'une performance de 40 minutes. Elle est l'héroïne de son premier roman mit en scène au cinéma par Brian de Palma, Puis à 1 h du matin, le biopic reprendra son cours jusqu'au petit matin.
Si j'adopte le système horaire des horloges analogiques sur le modèle anglo-saxon qui scande la journée en deux fois 12 heures. AM / PM (ante meridiem, post meridiem), c'est pour m'inscrire dans un principe de ritournelle.
Un flux ininterrompu de parole occupera les performances qui prendront la forme d'une lecture à haute voix dans un micro Shur SM 58. Le tout scandé par les riffs d'une guitare électrique. La rock attitude ne sera pas l'imitation d'une posture de Guitar Hero, mais la tentative d'électriser la parole littéraire pour lui redonner le pouvoir qu'elle n'a plus.
A CHRISTOPHE FIAT'S EXHIBITION
Chaque performance sera filmée. La caméra fera partie de la performance. Elle sera là pour reconstruira le corps du performer : énergie physique, force de contestation, puissance de la photogénie seront enregistrée dans un plan séquence qui restituera en temps réel.
C'est moi qui déclencherai l'enregistrement en début de performance et qui l'arrêterai à la fin. Ce geste n'est pas anodin. Il touche à l'autoportrait ou à l'autobiographie masquée, derrière le spectre encombrant de Stephen King.
Chaque film mêlera dans une esthétique de vidéo amateur, la reprise infinie de la forme rock, l'art corporel, la poésie sonore et les codes du roman d'épouvante.

I want to present a series of 12 performances on the american writer Stephen King. « King of Horror » is his nickmane. He is famous for his novels, as well as for the screen adaptations: Shining, Dead Zone, Christine. He embodies a part of the popular culture of the baby-boomers' generation.
THE NIGHT OF HORROR
I want to tell his life & art from 6pm to 6am, every hour, in a biopic. Each episode will last 20 minutes.
At midnight, you will know everything about Carrie White, thanks to a 40 minutes performance. She is the main character of Stephen King's first novel, which has been adapted for the cinema by Brian de Palma. At 1am, the biopic will run its course again, till early in the morning.
The choice of the Anglo-Saxon analogic clock system, which parts daytime in two periods of twelve hours (AM/PM: ante meridiem, post meridiem) is to create a chorus effect.
A non stop flow of words will be performed as an aloud reading in a Shur SM 58 microphone and stressed by the riffs of an electric guitar. The rock attitude won't be the imitation of a Guitar Hero position, but an attempt to electrify litterary words and give back to them the power they no longer have.
A CHRISTOPHE FIAT'S EXHIBITION
Each performance will be filmed and the camera will be part of it. This, to symbolize a reconstruction of the perfomer's body: physical energy, dispute and photogeny power will be taped in a sequence shot, which will recreate in real time.
I will turn the video recording on at the start of each performance, and off at the end. This isn't a minor gesture. It has to do with self-portrait, with hidden autobiography, behind the bulky spectre of Stephen King.
Each film will mix up, in an amateur video way, the infinite re-entry of the rock form, body art, sound poetry, and horror novel codes.
These films will be tracks for the audience – the present one, but also the absent one – to follow the epic of Stephen King. This will be also the opportunity to examin the different steps for a historical reconstruction of a 12 hours litterary performance.
